Eclipta prostrata contains wedelolactone and ecliptasaponins that have demonstrated hair follicle stimulation in animal models. The extract may promote dermal papilla cell proliferation, extend anagen phase, and increase the number of hair follicles. Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties may also contribute.
