Mechanism of Action

Pycnogenol is a standardized extract rich in procyanidins, which are potent antioxidants. Procyanidins have been shown to promote hair epithelial cell growth in vitro by activating the anagen phase. The extract also improves microcirculation and has anti-inflammatory properties, potentially improving nutrient delivery to hair follicles.
