Mechanism of Action

Nettle root extract contains compounds (including beta-sitosterol and scopoletin) that may inhibit 5-alpha reductase and sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), reducing free DHT availability. Anti-inflammatory properties may also benefit the scalp. The mechanism for hair loss is extrapolated from BPH research.
