Ginsenosides (active compounds in ginseng) stimulate dermal papilla cell proliferation and inhibit apoptosis via Wnt/β-catenin signaling. They also increase VEGF expression, potentially improving follicular blood supply, and have anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties relevant to alopecia areata.
